Woo hoo! Two Happiness Fridays posts this weekend? We are fan-boys of Iron Man and would like to share more with you about this action-packed movie. Thanks Jephthah for the glowing review of the movie!

The movie: Iron Man (2008)

Starring Robert Downey Jr as Tony stark (Iron man), the long awaited comic character from Marvel was finally brought to live on the cinema screen! Fans have waited for the release of Iron man for a long time since rumors of its development. Iron Man is a well-made superhero film, that uses jaw dropping CGI (Computer-generated imagery) effects and stunning visuals. Iron Man stood out and was way impressive!

Heres how the story goes

Warning! Spoilers ahead.

Tony Stark was on a trip to demonstrate his weapons to the US army where he and his convoy was being ambushed by terrorist. His convoy was destroyed and he was the only survivor left in the peril. Tony saw how his own companion was killed. He realized the horrors of what his own manufactured weapons could do in the hands of evil.

After being kidnapped, Tony Stark was forced to build a devastating weapon that will enable the terrorist to gain an upper hand against their foes. But Tony had to make a crucial decision whether to save his own life or to fight against evil. Ultimately, Tony chose to uphold justice and took a bold stand against evil. Using his highly-gifted intellectual mind and talent in precision engineering and building super-weapons, Tony made a robotic metal suit using weapons and metal scraps right under the watchful eyes of his captives.

His first prototype suit proved to be a worthy punishment taker. He was able to keep himself alive even though he was being barraged by tons of weapon fire. Tony fought his way through some hardcore resistance and finally was able to escape to safety.

Upon returning back home, Tony made a decision to gave up his business in producing weapons of destruction, despite facing pressures from media and the government.

Moral of the story

It is human nature for us to choose the easiest way out when we are faced with problems. What if the problem was dreadful or even life threatening? Some people would even go to the extend of betraying their own moral values in order to solve the problem. Like Tony stark, how many of us would stand firmly on the righteous side when problem arises?

Though Tony stark aka the Iron man is only a fictional character, his decisions shows the importance
of making tough choices without compromising the right values. Imagine if Tony choose to side with the terrorists to save his own life. How much destruction would his actions brought to the world and how many innocent lives would have been killed?

Tony was also wise in letting go of his weapons industry. Though the industry Tony and his partner-turned-rival were involved in could make them tons of money, Tony chose to step out of his comfort zone to make a righteous stand.

Let us be firm in making a stand and not put moral values aside when we are faced with difficult situations.

Let us also learn how to step out of the comfort zone if necessary.

WE give Iron Man a rating of…

If you were to ask me how Iron man moved would have scored, I would give it a 4.5 out if 5. Also with a two thumbs up for this movie of the year! Go watch it!
