Maybe you had a tough week, or your day met with some unexpected turn of events that were not to your advantage.

Bad things do happen to good people.

Not everyone can be 100% perfect all the time.

Don’t worry. That shows that you are still a great individual gem with tons of potential yet to be transformed to abilities and experience.

A diamond with a flaw is worth more than a pebble without imperfections. - Chinese Proverb

Hitting Back. Hardened Hands.

Most of us have rather rough hands with weathered fingers. We use our hands to hold many items with a purpose of balancing ourselves and preventing us from falling, to holding items and making choices.

We use our fingers daily in forms of pressing elevator buttons to typing frantically on our keyboards to finish the next report or write up.

With many various actions we take that involves our hands and fingers daily, we have to admit this:- we have hardened hands.

Hardened in this entry refers to these following definitions:

  • to strengthen or confirm, esp. with reference to character, intentions, feelings, etc; reinforce
  • to make hardy, robust, or capable of endurance; toughen
  • to become confirmed or strengthened
  • to become inured or toughened

And this next one is associated to commerce:

  • to rise higher

Read that last line as: your value rises higher.

Through time, action, and experiences that you go through daily, your value will keep on rising.

Don’t worry on what others may have said to you or whatever situation that disrupted you from your goals to succeed.

Your hands will harden during days like that.

As your hands hardened, as your experience rises, hit back against the situation and your emotions immediately and get your senses back on track.

Act of Clenched Fists

Have you realized that when you or people around you are frustrated, angry, and depressed, their hands will cover up to form clenched fists?

This very act shows one interesting trait:- that they just want to hold on to the negative moment, not wanting to let it go, knowing that if they release the anger, they will not have anymore control in sending out any form of vengeance upon the object or situation of provocation.

That’s when a clenched fist will gradually tighten, and the person reaches a point of personal isolation from his values, mind, and heart.

Let’s call this as handling anger tightly, giving away his own authority up from the person’s soul.

Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. - Ephesians 4:26 - 27

The tighter you hold on to a negative result from a bad situation, the lesser authority and power you have left on yourself.

Opening Your Fists, Letting Anger Go

Here’s what I need you to do.

Open up your hands.

Forgive yourself, forgive the object or situation that sparked the anger, and then look at something that makes you smile and then smile.

That is de-programming and de-constructing through the act of opening up your fists to show your palms.

Smiling is not used as a distraction technique, smiling brings focus of all the energy from clenching of the fists, to making the muscles work to bring that smile after the period of uncertainty.

Forgive and forget simultaneously (and immediately), clearing away the gloomy feeling out alongside with the guilt feeling that came from thinking why you had even though badly in that very spur of the moment.

Wipe your hands clean afterwards, or give it a good wash from the perspiration that formed on the palms. Make your hands clean as you release your anger out through the act of forgiveness by opening up your fists.

Lifting Up Your Hands in Worship

Before the end of your day after getting your hands clean and heart cleared from the down emotional period, start to come back to God by lifting up your hands in worship.

Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ? Who may stand in his holy place?

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.

He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. - Psalm 24:3-5

God will take you back, receive you with outstretched hands in greater measure along with your extended arms in worship.

You will still be blessed (accepted), as long as you have allowed yourself to be in the position to receive forgiveness as you release forgiveness in your life for that day.

Have clean hands and a pure heart. That is when you can receive God back into your day to make you whole again, receiving the joy of the Lord that brings a focused smile into a genuine smile that the people around you can feel the change in you.

Before the sun sets, let your anger be released and thrown out.

You are still of high value. Wait.

You are of higher value now after doing the necessary forgiveness and opening up of hands.

You can have the happiness that will follow along with you through the weekend.

Have a great Saturday and Sunday ahead!
