One fine day a friend of mine approach me and asked me a question. He said to me “What will you do to make this world a better place?” Well, it sounded like a simple question to me initially but after a brief moment of thinking, I realized that I haven’t had any answers to that yet.

I finally responded after giving it much thought for a few minutes. I confidently replied to my friend that we can make this world a better place by show care and concern to the people around us. My friend looked at me and smiled. He said to me it is just that simple to making a difference to the world.

I am very sure that there are many more ways that you can do to make this world a better place. Well to you might already have an answer in mind that you would like to share.

I’d like to hear about more ideas in making this world a better place from you here on WE!

For As He Thinks In His Heart, So Is He

Commonly quoted words around the world, words of pure wisdom and yet, ignored as just another cliché, another verse. There is so much power in those words! So much and yet, so few people realize what it means.

Everything starts in the mind first. Everything!

Take soccer for example. You put 2 able-bodied persons onto a soccer field. Both have not played a game of soccer before, they’ve only seen or watched it. Place these two on the field with a mix of people who have been playing soccer for years. The team of players and the two newbies meet for the first time on the field. One of them thinks that he can’t play well because he has never played a game in his life. The other thinks he can’t play well as well as the other players too but he might as well just play. Who do you think will eventually have a good time?

Take note, these 2 are able-bodied persons. Both can play the game. If right now, you take a microphone and ask one of the players about which of these 2 new players is a total newbie and which one has played the game before – what would the answer be?

All of the players will instantly know. Even the spectators will know. Even YOU will know!

Why? Simply because, it is all in the mind. And it shows.

Loving Someone

Some say that love is like a river that never ceases in flowing.

Others say: love knows no limits and reaches no boundaries.

Love also goes the distance and doesn’t expire in time.

Love mends and heals the hearts of people.

Love is not reserved only for the lucky, but is given to those who are strong.

Some also say that love is likened to a razor that cuts deeper into a wounded heart.

Love is fragile and yet it’s strength goes against all odds.

For those who are in love, they are seen as having the wings of an angel.

Love embraces and showers areas of dryness in your life.

And that your soul will be filled with strength, because of love.

But love is also a hunger, a never ending thirst that everyone desires.

Love is tender and sweet.

It is this Love builds a bridge between you and me.

An Affair With Nature

My mind is empty and calm. My gaze is locked at a particular scene. The image set before me paused, as the birds continue on with their beautiful chirping along to the cool breeze of the evening.

Colorful butterflies flap their wings in smooth motion as they glided gracefully across the grass; they appeared to hop effortlessly across the fields. Gently, as small giants they are, the butterflies fought against the wind. Their acts of resisting the wind make them appear like little dancers dancing on the surface of water. As I watched the wide array of colors performing to a simple silent tune, I let my mind slowly drift into a trance.

Just when my mind was about to fade away into a magical zone, a tiny whisper of the wind with a tingle behind my ears pulled me back to reality.
